Doula Cindi Cnop brings Sacred Pregnancy to The Motherhood Consortium

I am so excited to be presenting Sacred Pregnancy to The Motherhood Consortium community at the next meeting on May 3rd at St. Josephs in Burbank. Sacred Pregnancy is a new movement that was born out of the book Sacred Pregnancy, A Loving Guide and Journal for Expectant Moms written by Anni Daulter. From the book an eight week course was designed for pregnant women to come together in community and explore issues that naturally arise during pregnancy. Some of the topics covered are creating sacred space, body image & food, relationships & romance, fears, forgiveness and honoring. These practices are specially designed to help women make the transformation from maiden into mother and build a foundation of sisterhood with like minded women.

At the presentation we will be introducing a Blessing Way. This practice honors a mother to be with adornment of a flower wreath, washing of her feet , painting her beautiful belly and massaging her with oils. We will also be working in groups to decorate mediation candles with collage materials for your alters to take home.

Cindi is a dedicated “birth keeper” inspired by the strength and grace of birthing women and witnessing the emergence of new families. A “Khalsa Way” certified Prenatal Yoga teacher and “Dona International” trained birth and postpartum Doula, her recent work with the exciting new movement “Sacred Pregnancy” brings all of her passion and teaching skills into one arena. Empowering women in all stages of their journey from maiden to mother to crone is her life’s work.
